description
In Hammersmith and Fulham CCG’s 2015/16 Commissioning Intentions we signalled our intention to commission a Community Dermatology and Minor Surgery service that meets our population needs, is delivered to a high quality standard and to be provided closer to our patient’s homes.
In order to refine our commissioning approach for the service, develop an innovative model and inform the development of our service specification, we would like to invite early engagement with potential service providers.
Responses (or lack of responses) to this invitation to express an interests and engage with the CCG will inform our strategy to award a contract and whether a competitive procurement will be appropriate.
Whilst reserving the right to not run a competitive procurement process, our current planning indicates the likelihood that such a process would take place within the following timelines:
- Contract Notice to invite tenders early 2017.
- Service commencement early summer 2017.
Discussions are also taking place with some neighbouring CCGs to explore the potential for a collaborative commissioning approach which may increase the scope of the specification, geographical population coverage and contract value.
Additional information: The CCG anticipates awarding a contract for 3 years to the appointed provider with the option to extend for a further 2 years at the CCG’s discretion.
The expected service commencement date is early summer 2017.
The annual value of the contract is estimated to be a block contract valued at circa £307,000 per annum.
As mentioned all information and the estimated contract value may change, and increase if a collaboration between neighbouring CCG's does go ahead.
*Your response to this invitation to engage with the CCG and to express your potential interest will not have any bearing on any potential future proposal that you may or may not be invited to submit in the future, however the responses received will be used by the CCG as evidence to support decisions as to whether to competitively tender the service or not.*
**PROVIDERS ARE INVITED TO EXPRESS THEIR INTEREST in this early engagement by emailing the completed questionnaire and any comments on the draft specification to pete.ellis@nw.london.nhs.uk.
THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS is 12 NOON, Monday 7th November 2016.**
