Transport of 4 x 20ft ISO 1CC containers from each of the 3 sites.

Technical specifications: The following technical information and requirements will be needed for the PHE’s “expression of interest”

 The goods to be transported will consist of 4 X 20ft ISO containers at each location with a maximum payload of 10 tons. The containers will be:

• o20ft dry standard ISO 1CC container (20ft*8ft*8ft 6in; ISO 668; ISO 1496-1:2013)
• oAlready containing their goods and will be ready to load on the trucks
• oContaining a maximum payload of 10 tons

 The trucks will be equipped with a crane, palletized load system, side lift or any other loading device allowing the driver to autonomously load the containers on the trailers at the collecting location and unload the containers at the delivery location.  The tender will detail what zone can be covered on a 5 hours’ notice in a 360˚ direction within the Great Britain mainland departing from the following locations: -PHE CRCE Chilton: Chilton, Didcot, Oxon OX11 0RQ

-PHE CRCE Leeds: Oak Park Lane, Cookridge Leeds LS16 6RW

-PHE CRCE Glasgow: 155 Hargate road, Glasgow G51 4LS

NB: The 5 hours’ notice will start from the initial Notice to move given by the PHE

The tender will also provide for each site the length of time of the following operations:

• Journey from the truck’s departing point to the PHE CRCE site
• Loading of the 4 containers
• Journey from the PHE CRCE site to the delivery location
• Unloading procedure of the 4 containers

 The tender will mention any arrangement available for transportation onto the UK isles and the extra cost and transportation time associated to it.  Finally the tender will detail what would be the cost associated with a 24/7/365 readiness for the operations above mentioned.
