description

The over-arching aims of the research are as follows. Research questions covering each strand of the evaluation are listed later in this document.

  • To measure the extent that the pilots move participants closer to work (e.g. increases in work related activity and changes in attitudes to work).
  • To provide details on the support delivered and gather feedback on claimant experience.
  • To assess the Supervised Jobsearch model to consider whether it is the most effective design, and to suggest improvements to the provision.
  • To complement the impact assessment element of the evaluation in exploring why the pilot interventions did or didn’t have an impact on benefit and employment outcomes.
  • To provide lessons learnt from service delivery to inform the design of any national roll-out.
