description
Step by Step has been delivered since May 2012 within Kirklees. Following on from a small scale pilot project, originally the provision was commissioned in response to a growing need for voluntary neighbourhood based outreach provision and rising unemployment figures in many of the disadvantaged communities. The provision must ensure that:
- Step By Step provides an accessible community based gateway to the complex Employment and Skills landscape.
- Step By Step offers maximum benefit to the residents of Kirklees.
- Step By Step provides strategic intelligence for the Council to use in a co-ordination and influencing capacity.
Proposals were invited by the Council of the Borough of Kirklees (the "Council") from shortlisted Capable Delivery Partners currently on "Category 4 - Employability Provision" of the Council's Dynamic Purchasing System for the Provision of Education, Training, Employment and Lifelong Learning (REF:KMCIRS-064).
