ITT for Occupational Health Services at Lancaster University

Lancaster University are looking for an Occupational Health Service (OHS) Provider that will deliver a cost effective OHS, which maximises value for money for Lancaster University ("LU") through the delivery of a timely, effective, modern and quality service for its campus and a small number of staff overseas. The OHS will be made available to all 3500 [approx.] staff. Overseas staff are likely to represent around 3% of the workforce.

The range of duties undertaken by University staff are multiple and varied; and include, but are not restricted to, the following:

• Desk associated work
• Customer facing work, with risk of exposure to upset and/or violent people
• Physical work e.g. maintenance, estate management and cleaning
• Work outdoors in all seasons
• Staff working or coming into contact with hazardous substances including biohazards
• Shift workers
• Staff working with Ionising Radiation

The initial contract duration will be 2 years, with two further year long extensions subject to supplier performance.

Contract value is estimated at £40,000 - £60,000 p.a., however this is subject to budgetary constraints and outlay is not guaranteed.
