Lancaster University are looking for an Occupational Health Service (OHS) Provider that will deliver a cost effective OHS, which maximises value for money for Lancaster University ("LU") through the delivery of a timely, effective, modern and quality service for its campus and a small number of staff overseas. The OHS will be made available to all 3500 [approx.] staff. Overseas staff are likely to represent around 3% of the workforce.
The range of duties undertaken by University staff are multiple and varied; and include, but are not restricted to, the following:
- Desk associated work
- Customer facing work, with risk of exposure to upset and/or violent people
- Physical work e.g. maintenance, estate management and cleaning
- Work outdoors in all seasons
- Staff working or coming into contact with hazardous substances including biohazards
- Shift workers
- Staff working with Ionising Radiation
The initial contract duration will be 2 years, with two further year long extensions subject to supplier performance.
Contract value is estimated at £40,000 - £60,000 p.a., however this is subject to budgetary constraints and outlay is not guaranteed.
