Southampton City Council Soft Market Test - Personal Assistants

Southampton City Council currently has limited number of Personal Assistants (PAs) actively providing care and support to people who take their authorised Personal Budget as a Direct Payment. The Council are looking at whether there is an economic case for significantly increasing the supply of PAs in the City and, if so, how best to do this.

In order to understand what options are open to the Council interested parties are invited to participate in a Soft Market Testing exercise by requesting and returning a questionnaire. The Council may request further clarification from individual participants after questionnaires are submitted and may issue a secondary questionnaire if further elaboration is required. Having received and reviewed responses the Council may choose not to proceed any further with the exercise.

It is neither the intention nor the purpose of this soft market testing exercise to confer any advantage upon its participants in any future procurement process.
