description
- Luton Borough Council is looking to engage qualified organisations to quote for the provision of SEMLEP BUILDING BETTER OPPORTUNTIES - SUPPORTING EMPLOYMENT
Luton Council is the Lead Accountable Body for the SEMLEP (South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership) BBO project which is funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund. The project has been running across the SEMLEP region since 2016. The project aims to support more than 2300 unemployed and economically inactive people to overcome barriers to employment in the whole of the SEMLEP area including: Bedford, Central Bedfordshire, Luton, Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire. We would like to bring some new partners into the programme in order to help support more SEMLEP residents. The project aims to tackle worklessness to raise the aspirations of people and communities, and to support participants to overcome barriers, increase confidence and move into, or nearer to, paid employment (depending on their starting point)
