Market Engagement: General Dental Services in Lincolnshire and Leicester City

Invitation to market engagement events.

Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit, acting on behalf of NHS England Midlands and East (Central Midlands), will be inviting suitably qualified providers to offer high quality and safe General Dental Services across Lincolnshire and Leicester city.

Potential bidders are invited to attend a market engagement event in

Newark on the morning of 20th February 2018. There will also be a webinar during the afternoon of the 20th February for those unable to attend the event in Newark. Both the market engagement event and the webinar will cover the same topics and material. The deadline for registration for both events is 2pm, Friday 16th February 2018 and further details will be sent to those registered. The Commissioner and Arden & GEM will present background information about the procurement and information regarding the process, including timescales and advice on preparing a bid. Potential bidders wishing to attend either the event or the webinar will need to register on the e-tendering portal, BravoSolution: https://ardengemcsu.bravosolution.co.uk, express an interest in the opportunity (pqq_465) and complete a short electronic form to register for the event. Details are given below. Note that this is NOT a PQQ (Pre-Qualification Questionnaire) but is merely using the PQQ functionality within BravoSolution to record interest for the market engagement event.

Contracts will be Personal Dental Services Plus (PDS Plus) agreements. The procurement will consist of 8 Lots, each Lot covering one practice/service and each Lot being a separate contract. Providers will be able to bid for more than one Lot. The contracts will be for a period of seven years with the option to

extend for up to a further three years (maximum contract term ten years). Service commencement dates will be 1st February 2019.

Lots are expected to cover the following areas: Lincoln, Sleaford, Spalding x 2, Boston, Louth, Skegness or Spilsby, Leicester city.

Further details of Lots will be given when the Invitation to Tender (ITT) is published. The ITT is intended to be published late February 2018. The opportunity will be open to the entire market. It should be

noted that whilst current providers are able to bid, the contracts being offered will remain separate from each other and any contracts a bidder may currently hold or be bidding for.
