description

NHS Bolton Clinical Commissioning group (NHS Bolton CCG) would like to invite potential providers and stakeholders to a stakholder event in relation to GP Out of Hours (GP OOH) service. As set out in Equity and Excellence: Liberating the NHS, the Government is committed to developing a coherent 24/7 urgent care service in every area of England that makes sense to patients when they have to make choices about their care and to drive the integration of services. NHS Bolton CCG is committed to the provision of a high- quality GP OOH Service that is integrated with the 24/7 urgent and emergency care model in Bolton and which meets the values, rights, obligations and expectations of patients as set out in the NHS Constitution. Providers will have the opportunity to outline how they may deliver this service. NHS Bolton CCG is keen to explore innovative ideas and value added benefits to ensure that the service contributes to the NHS Bolton CCGs strategic priorities. The service is required to be sustainable, based on a service model that is clinically and commercially robust, that can attract and retain suitably qualified competent practitioners, integrated with other services and able to deliver the service aims. The vision for Bolton is to achieve an optimal model of urgent care. NHS Bolton CCG expects the GP OOH Service Provider to be integrated within the Bolton System Resilience Group, NHS 111 Quality Assurance Committee and associated clinical pathway and sub-groups. The members of the Bolton System Resilience Group consist of commissioners from NHS Bolton CCG, Bolton Council and local health and social care providers, enabling a whole system approach to be adopted in shaping the model of urgent care in Bolton. This stakeholder event is in relation to a PQQ that has already been issued on 27th January 2015 via EU Supply (NHS SBS on line tendering portal) Tender Reference 18180. The event will allow any provider who has already expressed an interest at PQQ stage to gain further information around this procurement and service model and also any new providers who may wish to express their interest now. The PQQ can be downloaded at https://uk.eu-supply.com/app/rfq/edittransaction.asp?TID=18180 and the closing date is Tuesday 31st March 2015 at 12.00 noon.

The event will be held at The Bridge Conference Centre, 109 Bradford Street, Bolton, BL2 1JX and will commence at 1.00pm until approximately 3.00pm (lunch and refreshments are included). Please confirm your attendance by emailing claire_barnes@nhs.net by no later than Monday 23rd March 2015.
