description

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) wishes to commission research to evaluate the Fraud & Error Reduction Incentive Scheme (FERIS). FERIS launched in November 2014 to reduce fraud and error during 2014/15, 2015/16 and beyond. FERIS guidance products are on the FERIS webpage.

The service to be commissioned comprises a survey, focus groups/roundtable events and detailed case studies.

The research will be used to evaluate the FERIS scheme in order to assess how it has worked and its effects. This is split into three main themes:

Process: To identify how the scheme has worked in practice and who it has reached;
Impact: Has the scheme achieved its aims and objectives; and
Economic: Has FERIS been cost-effective and have LAs seen a return on investment.
