description

The Council is seeking to establish a Framework Agreement with suitable contractors with a local presence to provide a corporate vehicle body repair service, including the option of insurance repairs to both corporate vehicles and third party vehicles.

The purpose of the Framework is to appoint Contractors who will ensure that corporate and third party vehicle body repairs are carried out in a timely manner and conform to all current Health and Safety requirements and to minimise the cost of repair, transportation costs and waste.

The Framework will provide a fully comprehensive service for vehicle body repairs and a repair network across Dorset for a wide variety of vehicle types.

The users of the Framework will be Dorset County Council (including Dorset Highways Organisation (DHO) who will be the contracting party to the Framework Agreement, and Dorset Waste Partnership (DWP)) and Dorset Fire & Rescue Service (DF&RS)

The successful Contractors will be responsible for establishing a safe, effective and efficient bodywork repair network that provides the Council with a comprehensive service across the whole of Dorset. This may take the form of Contractors with an established sub-contractor base.
