Current measurements are one of the primary physical data that are collected by deployed mooring systems. The success of the projects using moorings depends on the quality of the data that are collected and one mooring may have many current meter instruments installed.
These devices are currently used throughout the array and are therefore compatible with existing systems, spares and practices.
