£750k including a £50k contingency (Prelims & profit should be included in the Tender return for the expending of the contingency sum)

Site Visit:

Contractors should ensure that they have registered their interest to tender by emailing jgilbert@ddfire.gov.uk prior to organising any site visit. Site visits will be limited to the following days and times:

Wed 22nd Jan: 13:00 - 16:00 Hrs

Tues 28th Jan: 09:00 - 16:00 Hrs

Fri 31st Jan: 10:00 - 14:00 Hrs

Mon 3rd Feb: 09:00 - 16:00 Hrs

Tues 11th Feb: 09:00 - 11:00 Hrs

One time slot of 1 hour will be permitted for each tendering organisation and will be made available on a first come first served basis. Please contact John Hancock 07976720824 or jhancock@ddfire.gov.uk to enquire about availability.

Note that the works are planned for the Spring with a notional 14 week duration, please do feel free to return an alternative Tender with a different duration should you feel the 14 week period is not practical.

Estimated Key Dates

Wed 15th January 2025 - Tender release date

Tue 11th February 2025 - deadline for any tender queries and site visit

Tue 18th February 2025 (5pm) - Tender Return Date

19th - 26th February 2025 - Tender Assessment, Clarifications

Wed 26th February 2025 - Notification of preferred tenderer

Mon 10th March 2025 - Standstill period completes, formal appointment of Contractor

Mon 7th April 2025 - Commencement on site (this is flexible depending on lead in times required on elements)

Mon 14th July 2025 - Completion of works (contract period to be firmed up at appointment stage)

Note that responses to tender queries will be communicated to all tenderers by way of a live spreadsheet (with the identities removed). Please bear this in mind when communicating.
