Tender Opportunity Information - Vestry House Museum Decant
London Borough of Waltham Forest is engaged on a capital project to revitalise Vestry House Museum in Walthamstow, E17 9NH. Vestry House Museum is a valued cultural asset in Walthamstow Village, housing the local history museum, archives, and local studies library. The revitalisation of Vestry House Museum will invest in and improve the historic site and building, deliver a more inclusive and representative heritage and cultural offer to maximise its social impact, and establish an operating model that is more environmentally and financially sustainable. To enable the project to take place all museum and archive collections will be moved to alternative locations.
This commission seeks to appoint a specialist removals company, experienced with heritage, archive and museum relocations. There will be moves to and from three separate council owned sites including Vestry House Museum. Strong project management, a suitably trained team to pack and move all items and good logistics management will be expected from the successful bidder. This is a time critical project and the contract start date is planned for mid-June 2024. All packing and removals will need to be completed end of July in order to meet the project deadlines. The successful bidder should ensure they are able to mobilise an experienced team during the peak Summer period.
If this project is of interest, we'd like to hear from you.
