description

The aim of this work is to roll out the use of International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP) star ratings into a business-as-usual approach across multiple divisions, included but not limited to Strategy & Planning, SES, Designated Funds, etc. This will involve working with National Highways and the UK iRAP licence holder; Road Safety Foundation, to provide technical support for the development and delivery of training and competency testing, user guides, and clinics with National Highways staff using the iRAP tools.

Our vision is that National Highways is competent and confident to use iRAP tools and data to further improve star ratings and therefore the safety of our network. The use of tools should complement normal working practices and avoid increased workload.
