The London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH) is seeking expressions of interest from interested organisations for the above services and / or goods.

Building One Tower Hamlets is a central objective of our Community Plan; One Tower Hamlets means bringing different parts of the community together, encouraging positive relationships and tackling divisions between communities as well as providing strong leadership, involving people and giving them the tools and support to improve their lives.
To complement our existing programme of work to strengthen cohesion in the borough, we are seeking to commission one or more local organisations to deliver a range of activities to promote understanding between people of different faiths as well as people who have no faith. The purpose of this work is to:
- Develop a range of activities and engaging information materials which accurately reflect the life of people who have religious beliefs and those which dont in the borough
- Run activities and events which build understanding between people who have different religious and non-religious beliefs
We are open to different kinds of delivery model for this work, including consortia bids and individual organisations bidding in to deliver some but not all the elements of the specification. Key points for us will be:
- People from all faith communities represented in the borough take part in activities each year, as well as people with no religious belief
- At least 5 faith/no-faith groups/organisations actively involved in the delivery of project per year
The contract is divided into three lots and each lot has a different intended audience; organisations are invited to tender for one or more lots. The requirements for each lot are set out below.
Lot One (up to 30,000): The Service Provider:
- i)Host study visits to places of worship for local primary and secondary school groups (including children and parents)
- ii)Produce free educational materials which promote understanding of religious and non-religious belief and disseminate these to schools and other groups
Lot Two (up to 20,000): The Service Provider delivers the following:
- i)Host and promote open access activities and events for members of the public to learn about local religious communities as well as those who have no religious belief
Lot Three (up to 10,000): The Service Provider delivers the following:
- i)Promote the positive activities that bring together local people who have different religious and non-religious beliefs to local, regional and national audiences.
