Croydon Council invites Tenders from specialist providers for a contract for the collection of bodies and delivery to public mortuaries.
The successful tenderer will be required to provide a discreet and dignified service for the collection of bodies within the London Boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, Croydon and Sutton from the place of death to the mortuaries within the respective Boroughs. This tendering exercise is being carried out by the London Borough of Croydon on behalf of all the above mentioned Boroughs. The Contract with the successful tenderer will be with Croydon Council as the lead authority for the said Boroughs.
The contract will be for 3 years (36 months). Subject to satisfactory performance by the contractor for the initial period of the contact, consideration may be given to extending the contract for a further 12 months.
The Services are to be provided to HM Coroner although the successful tenderer will be expected to enter into a contract with Croydon Council.
