The Provision of a Specialist Adult Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ASD/ADHD) Service on Behalf of NHS Salford Clinical Commissioning Group

NHS Salford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) wishes to procure and commission The Provision of a Specialist Adult Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ASD/ADHD) Service.

NHS Salford CCG is offering a contract to the successful Bidder to provide support to individuals aged 18 years and over that are registered with a Salford GP, within a community setting, in the Salford area.

The service is a new specialist service designed to ‘bridge the service gap’ for a number of people with these conditions, who have not previously had these needs met by either the primary or secondary mental health services. The primary purpose of the Salford Specialist Adult ASD/ADHD Service will be to provide a clinical diagnostic service and to offer limited post-diagnostic clinical support.

For those with Adult ASD and ADHD, the service will focus on:

Through a comprehensive local training and awareness-raising programme, the Service will aim to address the unmet need to enable early detection, intervention and treatment.

The contract duration will be 3 (three) years, with one optional extension of up to 2 (two) years. It is intended that the new service will commence from 1st May 2017, with contract signature anticipated in January 2017. The indicative annual contract value for this Service is £100,000.

The Services to which this Procurement relates fall within Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (the “Regulations”). As such, the procurement of the Services is being run as a bespoke, one-stage application process akin to the Open Procedure. NHS Salford CCG does not intend to hold itself bound by any of the Regulations, save those applicable to Schedule 3 services.
