GB-London: Asbestos Surveys, Removals and Management

Under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (Reg. 4) Places of Worship and historic buildings have a duty to manage the asbestos contained within them. This tender invites submissions from organisations or sole traders who are qualified to deliver a range of Asbestos Management Services (including Asbestos Surveys and remedial works from licensed and non-licensed contractors), to listed and unlisted Places of Worship and Historic Buildings ( including associated domestic and non-domestic buildings) across England and Wales, as commissioned by Registered Users ( Users) through the MaintenanceBooker service, a national procurement portal ran by 2buy2 and the National Churches Trust.

LOT 1.Asbestos Management & Refurbishment /Demolition Surveys - the supplier shall be suitably qualified and accredited to undertake Asbestos Management, Re-inspection, Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys in accordance with HSG 264 Asbestos : The Survey Guide and all work to be undertaken in accordance with all processes and procedures according to legislation and approved codes of practice.

LOT 2.Asbestos Remediation & Removal Works

a.the supplier shall be fully licensed to undertake the remediation or removal of all levels of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM's) to comply with HSG 247 Asbestos : The Licensed Contractor's Guide and all work to be undertaken in accordance with all processes and procedures according to legislation and approved codes of practice b.The supplier is not licensed but is suitably qualified to carry out non-licensed work involving asbestos in compliance with Asbestos Essentials - a task manual for building, maintenance and allied trades of non-licensed asbestos works as per Asbestos essentials task manual: Task guidance sheets for the building maintenance and allied trades HSG210.

LOT 3.Asbestos Management Services- the supplier must be suitably qualified and accredited to undertake the full range of Asbestos surveys (as LOT 1) for Users and also licensed to undertake the remediation or removal of all levels of ACM's or suitably licensed to act as a consultant to manage and supervise the remediation or removal of all levels of ACM's. All work to be undertaken in accordance with all processes and procedures according to legislation and approved codes of practice.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
