description
Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (Arden & GEM CSU) on behalf of NHS England (Midlands & East (Central Midlands) would like to invite providers to attend a Market Engagement Event which will inform the market of the intentions to re-procure special care dentistry services and numerous general dental services across Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland, Lincoln and Lincolnshire. The procurement will be lotted – proposed as one lot per practice / service, and providers will be able to bid for as many lots as they are qualified to.
The expectations are that these services will offer increased patient access and funding will be linked to KPI achievement within the current budgets. The successful provider(s) will need to demonstrate that they can deliver continuously high-quality services and will be responsive to the needs of the local populations. Provider(s) will be assessed on an on-going basis to ensure they deliver the high-quality services required.
These services must be provided by Dentists and Dental healthcare professionals, the provider(s) will be expected to:
| • | Deliver primary care dental services which will be accessible, convenient and responsive and/or |
| • | Deliver special care dentistry services which will be accessible, convenient and responsive, |
| • | Design services around the needs of patients and carers, ensuring they are offered more choice and a greater say in their treatment, |
| • | Have processes in place to evaluate and continually improve on patient satisfaction. |
This opportunity will be open to the entire market. It should be noted that whilst current providers are able to bid, the contracts being offered will remain separate from each other and any contracts a bidder may currently hold or be bidding for.
It is intended that the tender will be published on the 29th January 2016 with services to commence on the 1st December 2016.
Additional information: There will be two events held; one in Lincolnshire and one in Leicestershire, in the morning and afternoon respectively on 21st January 2016. The events will present the same material so there is no need to attend both, and any questions and answers received at each session will be recorded and published with the tender opportunity for all to view.
The Market Engagement Event will provide:
| • | An overview of the services to be provided and the lots |
| • | Details of the anticipated contract types, lengths and particular conditions |
| • | An overview of the procurement process and the anticipated timeline |
| • | A “MINI-PROCUREMENT MASTERCLASS” with guidance and tips on tender writing and an opportunity to ask questions on an individual basis. |
Places are strictly limited therefore reservations are limited to no more than 2 persons per organisation and further agenda and event details will be circulated to delegates nearer the time.
To reserve your place please email the following details to NHSEngland.Procurement@ardengemcsu.nhs.uk, for the attention of Camilla Ball, before 14th January 2016:
| • | Details of which event you would like to attend (Lincolnshire OR Leicestershire) |
