NHS Sheffield CCG: Pharmacy Extended Hours

The aims and objectives of the Pharmacy Extended Hours Service include providing a full range of high quality pharmacy services accessible to the general public at all times of opening, providing patients with advice and support, in collaboration with other health and social care, and providing an innovative model of out of hours care, responding particularly to the urgent care needs of patients.

In addition to providing a community pharmacy service in core hours, the service must include the provision of the full range of essential services as specified within the NHS England Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework during the following hours:

17:30 - 22:00 on weekdays and Saturday evenings

10:00 - 20:00 on Sundays and all Public Holidays with the exception of Christmas Day

11:00 - 15:00 on Christmas Day

The annual value of the contract is £139,000. The contract is for 3 years, with the option to extend for a further 2 years. Therefore, the maximum contract value for the duration of this service is £695,000.
