New Catafalque and Furniture Refurbishment at Isle of Wight Crematorium

The Isle of Wight Council ("the Authority") invites Quotes from suitably qualified suppliers ("Potential Suppliers") for the provision of New Catafalque and Furniture Refurbishment at Isle of Wight Crematorium.

Bereavement Services are looking for a high-quality refurbishment of the Chapel and Waiting Room at the Isle of Wight Crematorium. This will include replacement of pews with chairs, new lecterns, catafalques and altar. New committal curtains and voiles will also be required with a motorised committal curtain track of a 'floating style'.

Please note removal and disposal of the items being replaced is not required.

Site visits are welcomed (please see 2.4) and provision of fabric and upholstery samples will be required (please see method statement 5 in the Quotation Response Document (Part B).

All furniture must be of solid sustainable wood.

The term of the contract shall be 1 September 2023 to the completion of the supply, delivery and installation of the specified items. The Authority expects the supply, delivery and installation of all specified items to be within a 2 week period following a maximum mobilisation/lead in period of 3 months. All manufactured items (i.e. furniture and seating) must have a minimum of 5 years manufacturer's guarantee including full replacement or repair of defective items. Please note that a full after sales service is also required that will include re-covering service on all seating supplied if required on the basis of wear and tear.

The closing date for receipt of Quotes is 14:00Hrs on 11 August 2023.
