The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust is a vibrant general hospital providing acute hospital services to the people of Ipswich and East Suffolk, with a catchment population of approximately 390,000. The Services provided includes A&E, critical care and emergency assessment and treatment; planned medical and surgical care covering a wide range of conditions; consultant and midwife-led maternity and neo-natal and paediatric care; and diagnostic and therapy services. The Trust also provides a range of specialised services including spinal surgery, radiotherapy and gynaecological cancer surgery to a wider catchment of more than 500,000.
The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust is exploring the potential of commissioning an Outpatient Pharmacy on site, and would like to invite interested parties to comment on the documentation being made available. Documentation is freely available within the following e-procurement portal:

Please note that The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust will be working with representatives from NHS West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group and utilising their procurement portal for the Prior Information Notice and any subsequent procurement process. In order to review the documentation you will need to register on the in-tend procurement portal and express an interest in the Outpatient Pharmacy Project which can be found on the tenders - current tab, this will in turn release the documentation for download.
The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust requests that comments on the documentation are received by 12:00 (noon) 25th August 2017, as a correspondence through the in-tend procurement portal.
The purpose of this PIN is to invite interested providers to contact the Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust. This PIN is not commencing a procurement process, any future procurement activity in relation to the services that are the subject of this PIN may be the subject of a separate notice.
