Public Health East Sussex consider good health to be a measure of a person's good physical and mental health, and the extent to which individuals in a society are enabled to live healthy and flourishing lives. A wealth of evidence exists demonstrating the positive impact that arts and culture can have on our health, our individual and collective wellbeing, and our ability to live rich, meaningful lives.

East Sussex County Council Public Health wish to commission a mixed methods research evaluation, to explore what changes in personal, cultural, and social wellbeing can be demonstrated through the delivery of a 12-month Eastbourne borough-based arts programme (The Leave it To Us Programme). Our aim therefore is to collaborate with a research evaluation partner to conduct a one-year study based in Eastbourne. The partner will hone the research and evaluation design, collaboratively create a Theory of Change, collect, and analyse the data and produce an interim and final report.
