Senior Business Change Advisor role responsibilities:
- People and Leadership - Communicate and build commitment to a shared vision and sense of purpose across the Change community. Work with colleagues to establish a strong identity and presence so that the team are valued and respected as a source of delivery know-how and expertise. Create and exploit opportunities to understand and promote the team's collective and individual capability.
- Delivery Planning and Resource Deployment - Lead or advise on the assessment of Change requirements, bringing the Change community and practices together to best determine delivery options. Facilitate discussions to bring the collective experience of the group to bear on the need/ problem and to review how expertise is best deployed to maximise both efficiency and effectiveness. Work with colleagues across Defra Group and within business areas to develop and test proposals. Work with the Portfolio Director and Change Deputy Director to develop and deploy strategies to address resource gaps.
- Risk & Opportunity Management - Create and maintain an open and inclusive culture across the Change community, which facilitates and supports active knowledge sharing and lessons learned. Promote and champion collaborative tools and ways of working, which underpin this culture. Identify trends in risks and opportunities and initiate action across the Change community to address/ capitalise on these
