description

The London Boroughs’ Legal Alliance (“LBLA”) is made up of the London Boroughs of Brent, Camden, City of London, Ealing, Hackney, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Islington, Kensington & Chelsea and Waltham Forest. The members now wish to re-procure a panel of expert and experienced legal advisers as preferred suppliers of specialist advocacy and related legal services.

The Members are interested in receiving applications from barristers and from solicitors who have attained their higher rights of audience pursuant to the Solicitors' Higher Rights of Audience Regulations 2010.

The option will be preserved in any legal agreement entered into, that additional local authorities within Greater London and South-East England (please refer to www.direct.gov.uk for a full list of local authorities in these regions) may access the framework agreement in due course – whether or not they are also a member of the LBLA.

The framework agreement will run for a period of 3 years commencing on 1st January 2016, with an option to extend the term for a further year.

It is intended that panel places will be awarded by reference to seven different Lots:

Lot 1: Adult Social Services

Lot 2: Children's services

Lot 3: Governance & Public Law

Lot 4: Criminal Litigation & Prosecutions

Lot 5: Housing

Lot 6: Planning & Property

Lot 7: Civil Litigation
