Edge of Care Service - Provider and Social Impact Bond Investor Information and Engagement Session

Within Southampton the numbers of children in care is greatly in excess of our comparator Local Authorities. Following in depth research the Council is intending to tender for a social impact bond-base service to provide intensive support to families to prevent children coming into care or those children who have just come into care to return home. This will complement the existing preventative services improving outcomes for children.

Southampton City Council is running an event to present details of the work undertaken and the service sought. The purpose of the event is to highlight the proposal, seek feedback to inform the final service specification, provide details of the timescales and requirement for prospective suppliers and enable potential providers and social investors to network.

The event will be held in Southampton, a 10 minute walk from Southampton Central Train Station, on Friday September 16th 2016 between 9.45am – 1.30pm. Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided. There is a maximum of 3 places per organisation.
