Oman is facing up the global challenges of CV-19, by mobilising its indigenous tech ecosystem to develop innovative responses. Though developing quickly, Oman's tech ecosystem is small and often insular. Our project aims bring in UK expertise and support to enable the growth of the tech ecosystem, rapid development of innovative projects and identification of new challenges that Oman's tech ecosystem is not yet capable of responding to. This project will come under the UK-Oman Digital Hub initiative, and linked to previous contracts, including those awarded to Plexal to design Omantel's Innovation Hub and CyLon to deliver the Ministry of Technology and Communication's Cyber Accelerator.

Leadership of a network of UK and Omani partners to provide international support, expertise and best practice to support Omani Covid-19 tech/innovation responses, particularly developing current innovation projects in Oman via the Oman Technology Fund and Omani Ministry of Technology and Communications (MOTC), identifying projects from the Omani Public Sector and supporting solutions to their issues, and enabling the identification and solution to projects from across Oman - including via the development and delivery of a Hackathon designed to solve identified issues.

The supplier shall deliver all of the following:

  1. IDENTIFICATION OF LONG-TERM CV-19 PROBLEM SETS
  2. DEVELOPMENT OF A PROGRAMME OF SUPPORT
  3. DELIVERY OF CV-19 INNOVATION PROGRAMME
