The College is seeking to appoint a specialist training provider to deliver short bespoke courses specifically for Green/Sustainability training.
The target group for this training is apprentices, employees and employers of organisations operating in Leeds City Region.
We are looking for specialist providers of training who:
- ocan demonstrate a track record of successfully delivering the required skills training to a high quality and compliant standard, particularly to SME businesses and organisations in the Leeds City Region
- ocan demonstrate local knowledge and understands how to communicate with a variety of businesses and employees from a wide range of sectors
- ohave a good knowledge of apprenticeships to apply the training most appropriately to the target group
The aim of the training is to provide accredited and non-accredited short courses ranging between Level 2 and Level 4 with the intention to equip apprentices, employees and employers with a broad understanding of environmental sustainability, to enable them to operate in a more sustainable way within their organisation.
As part of the training, there is an expectation that the successful provider will deliver an accredited Environmental/Sustainability unit or qualification to participants at Level 2 and Level 3 or Level 4. An example has been provided below, but alternative suggestions of accredited units or programmes will be welcomed.

The Skills Provider must be accredited to deliver the accredited qualification at the time of application and must provide evidence of this.
We expect the successfully appointed organisations to be responsible for:
- oDesigning programme content and delivering the allocated skills training
- oDelivering to apprentices, employers and employees of organisations identified by employer engagement staff at Calderdale College
- oProviding the skills training at an appropriate time and place to suit businesses and employees ensuring maximum participation, which may include online and distance learning to ensure flexibility
- oProvision of all supporting material, which could include but is not limited to; presentation slides, worksheets, demonstration materials, additional specialist trainers/consultants (where appropriate)
- oFull compliance with European Social Fund (ESF), College Branding and Publicity guidance, copies of which will be provided by the College
- oSupport the College in ensuring participants complete specified template programme documentation such as participation eligibility forms, Individual Learning Plans and feedback forms, and returning them to the College following completion of delivery in a timely manner
- oWork with College project and quality staff to review and address employer and participant feed...
