The overall aim of the Mental Health and/or Autism Community Enablement Service is to provide early intervention for people who are living with mental ill health and/or autism. The service should be provided in a way that supports people to be as independent as possible. The overarching aims are to:
- Build on people's strengths and self-resilience
- Promote choice and control
- Improve people's quality of life
- Improve financial resilience through encouraging people to gain support to seek paid employment when this is appropriate.
- Support carers/family where appropriate
- Prevent the need for long term care
- Reduce hospital admission
