Procurement of automated curtain manufacturing machinery

Sash Interiors Ltd are seeking companies to supply, install and provide training in the use of 2 soft furnishings manufacturing machines.

The machines required are:

• Vertical cutting machine

Cut joint curtain panels to a specified length using a vertically operated mechanism. materials required to be cut include; cotton, poly-cotton, linen, twill, wool, wool blends and other materials typically used in the makeup of soft furnishings.

The machine must be able to hold the lining and face fabrics separately to allow a difference in cut length of up to 3" between the lining and face fabric.

The machine must be able to handle cut lengths of up to 300cm with a width of up to 400cm.

• Curtain heading machine

An automated curtain heading finishing machine. Any of the following heading options will be considered equally: Pencil pleat, Pinch pleat, Eyelet, Goblet and wave.

The machine is required to either attach buckram/heading tape or insert eyelets or pinch pleat finishes to already headed curtains.

The project includes the supply, installation and staff training on the new machines.

This project is subject to part funding by the European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Growth Programme 2014-2020.
