Primary Care Mental Health Services in Northamptonshire

NHS Nene and NHS Corby Clinical Commissioning Groups are continually reviewing the quality of health services delivered locally. As part of this improvement programme we are developing proposals to improve access to Primary Care Mental Health Services, Specifically Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services, Mental Health Wellbeing Navigator Services and other primary care interventions such as counselling, group work and emotional support.

NHS Nene and NHS Corby CCG’s will be hosting a free engagement event, open to all potential service providers: Northamptonshire Primary Care Mental Health Services – Market Engagement Event, Wednesday 27th January 2016 at 1.30pm – 4pm, Kettering Conference Centre, Thurston Drive, Kettering, NN15 6PB.

The purpose of this event is:

• to have an opportunity to meet with potential providers in an informal and dynamic atmosphere to discuss and explore how improving IAPT and primary care mental health services could best meet the needs of Northamptonshire patients experiencing a common mental health disorder;
• to understand the provider landscape in terms of the options for IAPT and Primary Care Mental Health service delivery development and achieving improved outcomes for this cohort of service users.

We hope that this event will provide potential providers with an opportunity to understand the service Northamptonshire may want to commission and give them an opportunity to bring to the table their ideas, ask questions and seek clarification where necessary.

We will provide interested parties with an information document outlining briefly what our current services are. This document will be issued on 11th January 2016.
