Provision of a Waste Management Service to the Housing Repairs & Maintenance (HRM) and Corporate Statutory Serving Services (CSSR)

Sheffield City Council is seeking to appoint a contractor to deliver the following service: Provision of a Waste Management Service to the Housing Repairs & Maintenance (HRM) and Corporate Statutory Serving Services (CSSR). The service includes the following elements: • Collection & Disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials, including construction & asbestos • Provision of a Tipping Facility enabling Council personnel to transport and transfer waste for recycling \ recovery. • Bulk collection of segregated waste both hazardous and non-hazardous at the Council's Waste transfer station at Manor Lane, Sheffield. S2 1TR The contract will cover the requirements of the Council's Housing Repairs & Maintenance (HRM) and Corporate Statutory Serving Services (CSSR). Sheffield City Council will commence delivery of both of the above services from 1st April 2017, taking over the running of the service from the previous outsourced provider. Both the HRM and CSSR services require waste facility site(s) for the acceptance and treatment of collected hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and a collection service of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste at the Council's Waste transfer station at Manor Lane, Sheffield, and other work sites across the city as required. A single Contractor is required to deliver the entire service, providing both their own waste facility site and the collection service.
