This notice is for market engagement event registration for Diabetic Eye Screening Procurement for NHS England Midlands & East (Central Midlands) South Locality.

NHS Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AGCSU) on behalf of NHS England Midlands & East (Central Midlands) would like to inform potential Providers of a potential procurement that will take place late 2019 / early 2020 for Diabetic Eye Screening Procurement for NHS England Midlands & East (Central Midlands) which will cover the following geographical locations:

• Hertfordshire
• Bedfordshire
• Buckinghamshire
• Milton Keynes

The Commissioners have already published a prior information notice to alert potential Providers to the tender opportunity.

NHS England (Central Midlands) is holding a Market Engagement Event for the provision of Diabetic Eye Screening. The contracts are due to commence on 1st April 2021. The contract length will be confirmed at the market engagement event.

The Market Engagement event will give Providers;

• An overview of Service to be provided
• Provide details of the contract type, length and particular conditions
• Explain the procurement process and the anticipated timelines

The market engagement event will take place on 15 May 2019, the venue and time of the event will be confirmed nearer the time.

Please note the deadline for responses is by 12.00noon on 29 March 2019.

The ITT Process

Interested parties who wish to take part in the procurement process are invited to register their expression of interest and to respond to an Invitation to Tender (ITT) when this is published. Around July / September 2019. The ITT will be available through the Arden & GEM Procurement Portal https://uk.eusupply.com/login.asp?B=AGCSU&target=&timeout=

This is purely a market engagement exercise, any subsequent procurement will be advertised separately and all organisations wanting to participate will need to respond to the procurement advertisement as and when published.

The responses received during the market analysis exercise will not be taken into account in any future evaluation process as part of the formal procurement process.
