description

Knowsley CCG comprises 25 GP Member Practices serving a population of approximately 164,644 registered patients. Knowsley forms part of Merseyside and covers a geographical area from Kirkby in the North to Halewood in the South and also encompasses Huyton, Prescot, Whiston, Cronton and Knowsley Village, sharing the same boundaries as Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council (KMBC).

The purpose of this procurement is to secure an online consultation system for the Knowsley CCG population. This will initially be implemented in 6 or 7 practices as early adopters, to optimise and test benefits before determining wider rollout plans. These will reflect the emerging federated model and may include adopting online consultation on a locality footprint rather than at individual practice level. Linkages with extended access and out of hours services and NHS 111 online will also be explored during the early adoption phase.

This procurement is being carried out by the National Commercial & Procurement Hub (NHS England) on behalf of the Commissioners.
