SCC DW Direct Payments Advice and Support

Surrey County Council is seeking a provider of direct payments services.

Direct Payments are monetary payments made to individuals who ask to receive one to meet some or all of their eligible care and support needs. They can be made to either a person with eligible care and support needs or an eligible carer, including children, young people and their parent carers. Direct payments provide independence, choice and control by enabling people and/ or parent carers to commission their own care and support to meet their eligible needs. Surrey County Council (SCC) is committed to promoting their use.

This proposed contract will have two elements:

• a)Direct Payments Peer Support and Personal Assistant (PA) support service, and
• b)Carer One Off Direct Payment Support - making one off Direct Payments to carers and responsible adults to provide support to young carers.

Providers may tender for parts (a) and (b) separately or for undertaking both lots
