The Department for Education is informing prospective bidders of a potential upcoming opportunity to secure grant funding to support the provision of specialist advice and support services for International Students.
The Department intends to appoint a preferred bidder through open competition by Invitation to Bid (ITB). It is anticipated the competition will be published early December 2020.
The Department's policy outcome is to support current and prospective international students with the provision of independent information, advice and broader support on a range of policy matters, rules and processes affecting them but not limited to:

| - | Student fees and Finance; |
| - | Employability; and |
| - | Factors contributing to/affecting student experience. |
The grant funding will be provided to the preferred bidder to deliver activities will contribute to improving international student experience across the whole 'student journey', in line with ambitions set out in the International Education Strategy, as well as wider government objectives.
The estimated maximum grant value will be £350,000 for the financial year 2021-2022. Optional extensions (up to a maximum of two years) will be incorporated into the grant. Optional extension will be subject to future Government Spending Review settlements, success in supporting policy outcomes and internal approvals.
The grant competition will be managed through the Department's Jaggaer e-procurement system. Interested prospective bidders are advices to register on the system prior to the competition going live.
