The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for the supply of equipment to the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre's Casting Group.

Scope of requirement:

The requirement is for an Aluminium/Magnesium Heat Treatment & Refrigeration Facility which has the ability to heat treat Aluminium/Magnesium based castings up to 600 degrees Celsius. It is envisaged that the facility will consist of one bottom loading furnace, a transfer system, quench tank, refrigeration and all appropriate ancillary equipment for the complete heat treatment of castings.

The equipment supplied must be designed to be as economical to run as possible.

This procurement is an open procedure carried out in support of a Prior Information Notice published on the 5th of August 2016 http://ted.europa.eu/udl?uri=TED:NOTICE:270823-2016:TEXT:EN:HTML

The University wishes to exercise its option to reduce the timeframe for return of tenders as permissible under the Public Procurement Regulations 2015.
