description

The works comprise the monthly observation and reporting on, and ordered maintenance of, the channel and structures along the River Don and a small section of the Blackburn Brook in the Lower Don Valley. The aim of these activities is to ensure that these rivers are maintained and remain free from debris and blockage to reduce the risk of flood in a storm event. The scope of works will be varied and depend on the monthly observation and reporting outcomes but will include clearance of obstructions in the river, treatment of invasive species and management of trees.
