The Drainage and Water Team (DWT) is a team within Highway England's (HE) Geotechnics, Drainage and Pavements Group within the Safety, Engineering and Standards (SES) Directorate. The DWT provides technical expertise and advice to the Company's Major Projects and Operations Directorates - ensuring we properly assess and manage technical governance requirements and its risks. In addition, the team works closely with external stakeholders such as the Department for Transport, Defra, the Environment Agency, Devolved Administrations, Internal Drainage Boards, Local Highways Authorities, other National Infrastructure Operators and national and international technical committees.
