Northamptonshire County Council - Superfast Northamptonshire Stage 3

The Superfast Northamptonshire project is aiming to extend the availability of Next Generation Access (NGA) broadband across the county of Northamptonshire. To this end, Northamptonshire County Council has previously invested public funds through two contracts (Stage 1 and Stage 2), to extend the availability of NGA infrastructure in areas where no commercial plans were available from market players as verified through State Aid Public Consultations. When combined with existing and planned commercial coverage, over 94% of premises expect to access NGA by the end of 2017

Stage 3 is aiming to secure a telecom provider(s) to deploy NGA networks (supporting access line speeds of at least 30Mbps) into the final 6% of the county for the funding envelope that is available. Further information regarding the tender is available in Data Room 1.

The procurement will follow on Open procedure and with the contract(s) expected to be awarded in January 2017. Contract period is expected to be up to 27 months (end of March 2019) plus 7 year contract term in compliance with State Aid regulations.
