description

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at The University of Sheffield, with funding from the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) requires a mixed signal high speed oscilloscope. The Quantum Sensors for the Hidden Sector (QSHS) is building a test facility to provide state of the art quantum sensing at or below the standard quantum limit. This will drive the development of the next generation of sensors to seek low mass 'hidden-sector' particles. If found, these may solve several fundamental mysteries in physics. These sensors may also find commercial application in the fields of microwave and radar. A mixed signal high speed oscilloscope will provide a mechanism to look for high frequency signals in the time domain. Not only will this prove useful for looking at the signals themselves, but it would be invaluable for detecting intermittent noise that may not be visible using standard frequency analysis techniques.

This is an open exercise. The ITT can be downloaded by registering and expressing your interest on the University`s e-tendering system https://in-tendhost.co.uk/sheffield
