description

National Highways Safety, Engineering and Standards' Road Design Group (the Client) is procuring technical consultancy services to support the continued improvement of National Highways' all-purpose dual carriageway network via further development of the GD 300 concept.

Objectives

The core objective of this work order is the production of a list of recommendations for a revision to Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) document 'GD 300' that omits level 4 (motorway designation) and shifts the focus of the document to enhancements over and above the all-purpose dual carriageway baseline i.e., current levels 1-3.
