description

Highways England is procuring technical consultancy services to support the rationalisation of roadside technology used on the Strategic Road Network (SRN).

Highways England is extensively using roadside technology infrastructure, especially on Smart Motorways, to improve performance of the network. This project aims to reduce the deployment or roadside infrastructure, by integrating multiple capabilities in one/fewer systems to deliver the same services, and/or defining additional capabilities not currently deployed but potentially beneficial.
