description

Highways England wishes to commission a series of contracts for provision of traffic count data services to be used to update the Regional Traffic Models (RTMs). This will ensure the continued use of the RTMs for the upcoming RIS period and planning for the future.

The Consultant is to collect traffic count data using automatic traffic counters at specified locations for a period of four weeks from Monday 2 March 2020 to Sunday 29 March 2020 inclusive, provide checking of traffic count locations during the data collection period, collate traffic count data, from the data collection exercise but also from other sources, such as Local Authorities, into formats suitable for incorporation into Highways England's WebTRIS database and a SATURN traffic model.

Note that this Work Package is split into 5 Lots covering each of the current RTM areas. These are the South West, South East, Midlands, Trans Pennine South and North.
