Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council (the Councils') are seeking tenders from sufficiently experienced and qualified organisations for the provision of a Fostering Advice and Mediation service. The Councils' are jointly procuring this service, to which there are three elements, with the aim of supporting the recruitment and retention of foster carers. The contract will comprise of:
| • | Independent Advice and Mediation service for foster carers, to support them when an allegation or complaint is made against them. |
| • | Fostering Household Support, for foster carers to have access to legal cover, helpline advice, online support & forums, periodicals and news, and other financial benefits. |
| • | Organisational Support for Council staff, enabling up-to-date practice support and guidance. |
The contract duration will be for 2 years with a possible extension of 2 years (on a 1+1 basis) to a maximum of 4 years in total, at both Councils' discretion. The total contract value is estimated to be a maximum of £240,000.00 over the total length of the contract (including any potential extensions). The anticipated contract start date will be 1st October 2024.
This contract will be let under the Light Touch Regime of the Public Contract Regulations 2015.
