description
Libraries, Registrations and Archives (LRA) are the part of Kent County Council that deals with the registration of births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships. The service conducts around 6000 wedding ceremonies each year and these take place both within Approved Premises that are privately owned and within the service's own Register Offices. Approved Premises include hotels and stately homes for example. Since the first Approved Premises were given licences, LRA has helped to market their availability in a number of ways. One of the most successful marketing channels has been the creation of 'A Kentish Ceremony Magazine' and the creation of a popular website - www.akentishceremony.com. This magazine is now available quarterly and covers a mixture of information about the service's ceremonies, advertising for appropriate suppliers, a wedding fayre diary, articles and editorial. The magazine and website are currently produced at no cost to LRA by the current provider. The current provider also shares a percentage of the advertising revenue from the magazine and website with LRA. LRA is now looking to offer a competitive process to the market for a new contract relating to continuing the provision of akentishceremony.com and 'A Kentish Ceremony' magazine. Duration: The Contract will run for 36 months and has the option for an extension of 12 months. The Contract is anticipated to commence on the 23.09.2016.
