Highways Term Maintenance 2016-2018

Highways term maintenance and minor works covering routine, reactive, planned major and emergencymaintenance works together with improvement works up to a value of £1,000,000. The following types of work are included in the contract: Carriageway resurfacing, repairs and reconstruction High friction/textured/coloured surfacing Footway repairs, resurfacing, repairs and reconstruction Surface Dressing Footway slurry sealing Provision of drainage, drainage repairs and investigation Land drainage minor maintenance 24-hour emergency response Maintenance of non-illuminated highway signs, road markings, street name plates and cats eyes Erection, maintenance and dismantling of temporary diversion routes Winter maintenance service Routine and non-routine gully cleansing Road restraint systems supply, install and maintain Traffic signals civil engineering (non-electrical items) Traffic calming and traffic management schemes Pedestrian improvements and cycling schemes Local safety schemes including safer routes to school Signs, road markings and minor highway improvement schemes Pedestrian guard rail/ fencing Off street car park surface maintenance On street parking signs, plates and road marking Public transport bus stop and shelter civils works Daywork activities There is provision for also including the following elements. Minor bridge repairs Waterproofing and joint repairs Parapet replacement Bridge maintenance Carriageway resurfacing, repairs and reconstruction (constrained working - heritage sites and specialistmaterials) The initial contract term is for two years with an option to extend by a further 6 months. For clarity the values given below are the estimated value over the initial contract term, however they aresubject to funding, no assurances over total quantity of works can be given.
