description
Sheffield's Working Locally is a Work Club-based employment support approach with projects located within the neighbourhoods listed below;
| a. | North and North East |
| b. | Central, Burngreave and Darnall |
| c. | East and South East |
| d. | South and South West |
Sheffield's Working Locally work clubs will be neighbourhood based and link with key local anchor organisations including libraries. They will have a focus on people who are long-term unemployed or at risk of becoming long-term unemployed. Initially we will include people who are on JSA (or Universal Credit if they would have been on JSA) or Income Support or economically inactive) as well as having additional vulnerabilities including:
| - | lone parents |
| - | care leavers |
| - | unemployed for 1 year or more, but not on work programme |
| - | work programme returners |
| - | people in housing need (including in rent arrears but as defined by the housing provider) |
| - | people in financial hardship (including significant problematic personal debt, accessing emergency financial support such as local assistance scheme or practical support such as food banks) |
| - | people who are at increased risk of being in poverty (see Sheffield's Tackling Poverty Strategy for details) |
| - | first generation migrants with the right to work |
| - | Sheffield residents aged 50 or over |
Other vulnerabilities and barriers can be considered by agreement with the commissioner.
