description

WMGC is seeking to commission a study, report and stakeholder presentation which represents the experience of employers (venues, events, theatres), employees and visitors across the West Midlands' rich evening cultural attraction landscape, which attract visitors as well as a loyal local audience.

There will be secondary data sources which add context and value to this study and references the additional negative environmental impacts of the potential loss of choice from visitors' inability to use public transport in the evening.

This will provide a robust evidence base for future policymaking at a regional and national level and help to inform public transport timetabling and investment decisions. The franchising of WM bus services may be changing, and this study may influence bus provision at night. It may support the regional aim of enabling local people to access jobs by helping to lobby for the removal of transport barriers to employment.

Finally, it helps businesses to better understand the context of visitors' decision-making and enables the sustainable growth of the visitor economy sector.
